About OrennaDAO

What is OrennaDAO? OrennaDAO is a platform that connects land stewards doing ecological restoration work with funders and beneficiaries who want to support environmental projects. We use blockchain technology to ensure transparency, verification, and accountability throughout the restoration process.

Why "DAO"? What does that mean? DAO stands for Decentralized Autonomous Organization. It means our organization operates through transparent rules and community governance rather than traditional top-down corporate structure. This ensures decisions align with our mission and values.

Who founded OrennaDAO? OrennaDAO was co-founded by [you and Ben - you'll want to add your names and brief credentials here].

About Restoration Projects

What kinds of restoration projects does OrennaDAO support? [You'll need to fill this in - wetlands, streams, habitat restoration, etc.]

How are projects vetted before being added to the platform? [This needs Ben's input on your approval process]

Can anyone create a project on OrennaDAO? [Needs clarification on requirements/eligibility]

How do I know the restoration work is actually happening? Every project includes third-party verification by qualified subject matter experts who confirm the work meets industry standards. All verification results are recorded on the blockchain, creating a permanent, publicly accessible record.

About Funding

How do I fund a project? [Technical process - Ben should answer this]

What payment methods do you accept? [Needs Ben's input]

Can I see where my money goes? Yes. All financial transactions are recorded on the blockchain, providing complete transparency about how funds are used throughout the project lifecycle.

Is my contribution tax-deductible? [This is a legal/tax question that needs careful answering]

About Lift Tokens

What is a Lift Token? A Lift Token is an environmental offset credit tied to verified restoration work. When you purchase and retire a Lift Token, you're offsetting your environmental impact while supporting real ecological restoration.

How is a Lift Token different from funding a project directly? Direct funding pays for specific project costs like labor and materials. Lift Tokens are offset credits that represent the environmental benefits achieved by completed restoration work.

What happens when I "retire" a Lift Token? Retiring a token permanently removes it from circulation and records it on the blockchain, ensuring it can never be resold or double-counted.

How do I know Lift Tokens represent real environmental impact? [Ben should explain verification and measurement here]

Technical Questions

Do I need to understand blockchain to use OrennaDAO? No. While our platform runs on blockchain technology, you don't need technical knowledge to participate. The interface is designed to be user-friendly for everyone.

Do I need cryptocurrency to participate? [Ben needs to answer whether you accept traditional payment methods]

Is blockchain environmentally friendly? Isn't it harmful? [You could reference your "Why Blockchain" page here and note that modern blockchain systems use minimal energy compared to early implementations]

Where is my data stored? [Technical answer from Ben about what's on-chain vs. off-chain]
